Plotter Party (or something along those lines)

Intro

In 2026, OSP organised a series of workshops in the frame of our research called the “Plotterstation”:

We presented this series of workshops in an event at VROOM, prepared in collaboration with VROOM in the frame of RendezVous and Art Anderlecht. We sent out an invitation to join this plotterparty, an event where we would plot together with visitors:

The plotterparty will be a moment to discover recipes and experiments we tested during the workshops and to meet with pen plotter lovers. Come discover the outcomes of the OSP Plotterstation workshops through a commented tour, meet us around a drink, you might even leave with your own love letters, ‘hand’ plotted shapes, or advice from the plotter oracle.

OSP was joined by guests who had helped to coordinate the four workshops: Anna Czapski, Camille Viérin, François Zajéga, Louis Garrido and Mariel Nils. The space at VROOM was set up with four tables (one for each workshop), and two pen plotters. At the entrance, visitors were invited to take a blank poster, on which they could plot drawings according to the outcomes of each workshop.

Documentation

Setting up the space at VROOM, explaining the results of the "Plotting futures through the oracle" workshop to visitors.

The blank poster at the entrance, choosing shapes to plot on it.

Sending a drawing to the plotter through a web interface, patiently waiting for the results.

The AxiDraw plotter at the A line is a dot table, plotting remixed vector drawings with it.

A plotted piece of fabric from the workshop "When you love letters, every letter is a love letter", a menu of single line fonts to choose from.

Tiles from the "Stepping tiles and trembling vectors" workshop, testing the camera.

Visitor posters: a collaborative tiled plotted drawing and its webcam replication, several oracle drawings.
